Dennis Tyler was elected to the office of Mayor of Muncie on November 8th, 2011. He is married to Vickie Tyler. They have 3 children, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Dennis was a member of the Muncie Fire Department for over 42 years, and retired as a Line Captain in May of 2007. Dennis was State Representative in Muncie from 2006 through December 28, 2011; he resigned to assume his duties as Mayor effective January 1, 2012.
