Karen Hemberger has been at United Way since January of 2005. Prior to that she worked for a statewide mental health advocacy organization serving as the liaison between the chapters across the state and as the Mental Health Ombudsman. Karen has her MPA in Nonprofit Management and a BA in Economics from IU.

Cathy Swift brings a great deal of accounting and tax experience to the firm. She has been working in public accounting since 2004 and before that worked as a controller for 18 years. She has extensive knowledge in Quickbooks and Peachtree software programs, as well as payroll tax issues. She has been preparing tax returns since 1983 and became a CPA in 1988.
