Come together with other professional women in our community. We are a blend of working professionals, entrepreneurs, women looking for opportunities, and women who simply enjoy being around other empowering women.
Carolyn “Buffy” Grieves is a graduate of The Ohio State University and Ball State University. She retired from Printing Creations in 2014 after 31 years. A leader in national and local organizations, Buffy was chair of the Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce. She also was a member of the Town of Yorktown’s planning commission. Buffy is the winner of numerous awards, including the Indiana Small Business Administration’s Women in Business Advocate of the year. She was the WIBU’s lifetime achievement winner in 2010.
Married 49 years to Michael, also retired, she is the parent of two cats, Miss Fiona and Mister Mocha.
With the director of the Small Business Development Center, Nancy Stoll, and several other women business owners she founded Women in Business Unlimited in 1989.
She will talk about being a woman in business, WIBU’s creation and receiving the Lifetime award and what that means to her.
The ATHENA Organizational Leadership Award was presented to Open Door Health Services in 2019, an organization supporting and developing women leaders. This prestigious award actively supports ATHENA’s mission and recognizes a business or organization that creates a culture that encourages women employees or members to achieve their full leadership potential. The business or organization gives back to the larger community of women and girls by providing and/or supporting leadership development opportunities and initiatives.
